Known as the God of Cricket, Sachin Tendulkar congratulated the 18-year-old, Prithvi Shaw for scoring an attacking century in his Test debut against the Windies in Rajkot on Thursday. It was a sensational knock from the young Mumbaikar who idolised Sachin Tendulkar during his younger days.
Prithvi has a flair which Sachin had during his teens. Hence, many experts keep comparing Prithvi with a young Sachin Tendulkar. However, Shaw has just started his career, and by what we saw on day one of the first Test, everyone should be proud to see the way Prithvi batted in his debut innings for India.
“Lovely to see such an attacking knock in your first innings, @prithvishaw! Continue batting fearlessly. #INDvWI,” Tendulkar wrote on his Twitter handle.

Recently Tendulkar had revealed in an interview that he had first met Prithvi around nine years ago when he was the size of the stumps.
Sachin Tendulkar has noticed the spark in Prithvi Shaw
Tendulkar noticed the spark in Prithvi and believed the youngster would one day go onto play for India. However, he insisted no coach wanted to change his technique which would have curbed his instincts.
Prithvi got to know a day before itself that he would be making his Test debut in Rajkot. He looked in ominous touch from the outset and never felt the pressure of Test cricket. The way he stroked away to a brilliant century gave glimpses of what’s in store for a young man who has already realised his dream of scoring a Test century on his debut.
He played with utter disdain and looked like attacking the Windies bowlers from the word go. He was never afraid of losing his wickets. There was a huge array of shots displayed by Prithvi.
Sachin Tendulkar was pretty impressed with the sort of a knock Prithvi played. He smashed 19 fours during his knock of 134 off 154 deliveries before being dismissed by Bishoo.
