After the conclusion of the successful Asia Cup 2018 campaign, it is the time for India vs Windies at home for India. Now, the action shifts from white-ball to red-ball and the squad for it is set to get announced on September 30th (Sunday). Meanwhile, sources confirm the Test debut for Prithvi Shaw.

If the reports are to be believed, it is learnt that Murali Vijay will continue to be out from the team while the other member to leave the series could be Shikhar Dhawan. The duo’s poor form will certainly push a place for Prithvi Shaw in the playing XI.

Prithvi Shaw set to make his debut:

The Mumbai youngster will be accompanied by KL Rahul at the other end of the crease facing the new ball. Meanwhile, according to a report in The Indian Express, prolific Karnataka opener, Mayank Agarwal is likely to get a maiden call-up. He has been the highest run-scorer for the 2017-18 season in Vizay Hazare Trophy with the staggering average of 90.

Mayank Agarwal is pushing the selectors on a regular basis with his stunning knocks in the domestic cricket and for India A side. Coming to the rest of the squad, Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane and Pujara are the certain players.

Rohit Sharma might make a comeback:

Meanwhile, the injury to Hardik Pandya and the fitness concerns of Ravi Ashwin might give an edge for Rohit Sharma to make a comeback. On the other hand, the newbie, Hanuma Vihari also likely to retain his place.

Looking at the fast bowler’s section will be interesting. Probably, India will give the youngsters a chance to keep Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar Kumar away from fitness issues.
