India vs Windies 2018: Twitter Reacts as India Restricts Windies Below 300
Updated - 27 Oct 2018, 07:32 PM
Windies were able to post a fighting score of 283 runs in the third ODI against India. The host’s captain Virat Kohli won the toss for the third time in the ODI series and decided to bowl first. India had got back the services of their talisman bowlers Jasprit Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Thus, Bumrah didn’t disappoint his captain as he scalped four wickets whereas Kumar didn’t have a good return.
Bumrah gave an ideal start to his team as he took two early wickets. The Indian talisman bowled two short balls to get the better of both Windies openers. Windies experienced batsman Marlon Samuels continued his rough patch going as he was dismissed by Khaleel Ahmed.
MS Dhoni came up a fine glovework.
In fact, Bumrah would have liked to give honors to his former skipper MS Dhoni. India’s legendary wicketkeeper who has been making the news for not getting included in the T20I squad took a blinder while running back.
Dhoni dived full length to pluck a fine catch for his team. Furthermore, Jasprit Bumrah also bowled with venom in the death overs. Bumrah bowled a toe cruncher to get rid of Windies top scorer Shai Hope on 95 runs.
However, Windies were not able to come up with a collective batting performance. Hope was able to carry on his form as he scored a fine knock. Shimron Hetmyer looked dangerous once again, though Kuldeep Yadav was able to put an end to southpaw’s blistering innings of 37 off just 21 balls.
Thus, Kuldeep who scalped three wickets in the previous match had another good game as the mystery spinner took two wickets for 52 runs. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Khaleel Ahmed and Yuzvendra Chahal were able to take one wicket each.
Meanwhile, Ashley Nurse was able to apply the finishing touches as the right-hander scored a quickfire knock of 40 runs off just 22 balls.
Here is how Twitter reacted to the Windies batting innings:

MS Dhoni, is still the best keeper in the world. So quick off the mark (Hemraj’s catch a prime example) & lightening quick to take the bails off (Hetmyer’s wicket)…and is 37! ??????

West Indies have found two absolutely gun batsmen in their middle order – Hope and Hetmyer. Good signs.
Also, another half century for the man who instills Hope in the Windies innings every time. #INDvWIN

The catch by #Dhoni is typical Mahi way to reply biased selectors.#INDvWIN
