Perhaps, there would be no pressure job than being in the national selectors’ chair, as far as Indian cricket is concerned. They have got a lot of points in their kitty to convince ahead of picking the ODI squad for the series against the Windies. Meanwhile, all the eyes are on the inclusion of MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli.

Virat Kohli has got the workload issues while the batting form of MS Dhoni is a worry for team India. To test all the possibilities, the series against the Windies is a massive opportunity for the selectors to pick a squad by keeping the 2019 World Cup 2019 as the main agenda.

Rishabh Pant might get a look to cover MS Dhoni:

Virat Kohli had already received the rest for Asia Cup 2018, but the chances are still high that the rest will get continued for the stalwart player. However, there is a chance that BCCI might ask Virat Kohli to play in first three games of the series.

In that case, Rohit Sharma will take the captaincy burden once again. Riding on the good show in Asia Cup 2018, Ambati Rayudu will once again get the nod while there is a vacancy to replace injured Kedar Jadhav.

With MS Dhoni misplacing his batting skills, BCCI might bring Rishabh Pant as the pure batsman in middle-order replacing Kedar Jadhav. In that case, the unfortunate to miss out the place in the team would be Manish Pandey.

On the other hand, Jasprit Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar Kumar might be back in the side after being rested for the Test series. Khaleel Ahmed, who had done brilliantly in his debut game will get the retention in the team as well.

The Saurashtra cricketer, Ravindra Jadeja will also find the place after putting on a top show in Asia Cup 2018. All in all, there are a lot of points to consider for the selectors before announcing the squad.
