India vs Windies 2018: Washington Sundar And Shreyas Iyer Might Get A Chance In The Last T20I

With the series already done and dusted, India may like to test their bench strength in the dead rubber against Windies on November 11. Thus, Washington Sundar and Shreyas Iyer might get a chance to play the last and final match of the three-match T20I series.

Meanwhile, the Chepauk stadium will once again present a flat deck giving a tough time to the bowlers. Although it is monsoon in Chennai, there has been no rain for the last few days. Moreover, the weather department forecasted that there would be no rain for the next three days.

“They have defeated West Indies in Test, ODI and T20 series. So they are enjoying a well-deserved Diwali break. They will be here only on Saturday,” he said.

Furthermore, the tickets were not sold according to the expectations. Chepauk had a capacity of 24000; however, it might not see a full house. The Men in Blues will be playing without the two greats – MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli, which can be the main reason.

“The ticket sales haven’t gone according to expectations. Only tickets priced Rs 1200 and Rs 2400 for stands C, D, E are sold out so far. Still there are two more days to go and we expect it to get better,” the official added.

Indian will play the dead rubber of the T20I series against Windies on November 11 (Sunday).
