India’s rookie fast bowler Khaleel Ahmed gave a send-off to experienced Windies batsman Marlon Samuels. Ahmed got Samuels to drive and got the ball to move away. Thus, the southpaw pacer was able to produce the outside edge of the right-hander’s bat and India’s deputy Rohit Sharma took a fine catch at first slip.

However, Khaleel Ahmed was all pumped up as he gave a send-off to Marlon Samuels. In fact, Ahmed was all excited in his spell. The left-hander who plays for Rajasthan in the domestic circuit bowled with all the zest. Furthermore, Khaleel Ahmed was able to generate help from the surface as he got the ball to move both ways.

Moreover, Ahmed was able to land his deliveries in the corridor of uncertainty to breathe down the neck of the visitor’s batsmen. The left-hander was able to plumb Windies talisman batsman Shimron Hetmyer in front of the wickets. He also bowled a beautiful inswinger to get the better of Rovman Powell.

Subsequently, the southpaw pacer scalped three wickets and gave away only 13 runs in his five overs. Therefore, Ahmed played a key role in wrapping up the Windies innings for a paltry score of 153 runs. Hence, India went on to win by a colossal margin of 224 runs.

However, Khaleel Ahmed needs to keep his emotions in check as he was over-excited in his celebrations. He can be fined by ICC for sending off a player. In fact, it is evident as Ahmed is still young in his International career.

Ahmed brings an X-factor with himself as he is a left-handed pacer. Ahmed had also impressed with his performances in the Asia Cup. Therefore, Ahmed will like to carry on the same performances for the national side.
