Team India wicket-keeper, Rishabh Pant celebrated his 21st birthday after the conclusion of the opening day’s play between India and Windies at the Saurashtra Cricket Stadium in Rajkot.

Shaw helped India dominate day one

We have seen in the past how birthdays are celebrated in an Indian dressing room. Even today, it was no different. There was cake smearing all over Rishabh Pant’s face. It was indeed a special moment for Rishabh Pant, but he would have wanted better treatment from his teammates on a sarcastic note. Taking to his Instagram handle, the pocket-sized dynamite shared the video of his cake cutting celebration.

“This is how you cut your cake with your teammates ???don’t worry guys whoever is next will get the better treatment then this but thanks a lot guys for making it special and thanku everyone for wishing,” Rishabh wrote on his Instagram handle.

However, it was a dominating day for India in the field, as they piled on 364/4 at the end of the opening day’s play against the Windies at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot. Courtesy a sensational debut century by Prithvi Shaw, India posted a massive score on the board at the end of the day’s play. It was a wonderful display of batsmanship by the 18-year-old.

Rishabh Pant remained unbeaten on 17 off 21 deliveries

His innings of 134 off 154 studded with 19 fours. It was a special display of batsmanship by the Mumbaikar who according to Ravi Shastri resembled the mixture of Virender Sehwag and Sachin Tendulkar. He had a flair in his batting style and struck some excellent shots during his stunning knock.

It was an attacking display of batsmanship by the youngster, as he brought up his century in just 99 deliveries. He, in the process, went onto smash a few records with him being the youngest debutant to hit a hundred in Tests is one of them.
