What a day in the Indian cricket it is to remember? The dream-come-true moment for Prithvi Shaw. The classy 18-year-old Mumbaikar smashed all the records to register a century on his debut game for India. Meanwhile, Virat Kohli and his team gave a standing ovation for the youngster’s effort in his first game.

The right-handed batsman thoroughly impressive with his willow right from the word go. He never looked in pressure mode when he walked in the crease and always seemed to score the runs when the poor ball is on offer.

Virat Kohli and the Co impressed with Prithvi Shaw knock:

The classy Mumbaikar started his innings with a delightful backfoot punch off Gabriel in the first over of the innings. He then built his innings quite brilliantly by knocking the boundaries more often than not.

Shaw has got that free-flowing willow in his kitty which he used whenever the ball is on offer to smash. His brilliant running between the wickets also helped for his cause, as he got quick singles during the course as well.

Meanwhile, Prithvi also dusted off many records on his way as well. Initially, he became the 293rd player for India to make his Test debut and the fourth youngest specialist batsman as well.

He is also the second batsman to make his debut with fewest first-class matches. The first player is also from Mumbai who is none other than the legendary, Sachin Tendulkar.

During his knock, he became the third youngest player for India to score a maiden fifty and then the third fastest century on debut. Meanwhile, Prithvi Shaw is also the second youngest batsman to score a century for team India.
