Team India players decided to cool themselves down and recover by taking an ice bath after a hot and grueling day at the stadium. Meanwhile, India, with Umesh Yadav in the lead again, set up a chase of only 72 runs and reached the target in just 16.1 overs. Virat Kohli and his men have now completed ten consecutive series victories at home. It was also India’s seventh straight series win over the Windies.

Openers KL Rahul and Prithvi Shaw, both scoring unbeaten 33 to steer their side past the winning line before they restricted the visitors for a mere 127 runs. As a result, Shaw bagged the man of the series for his scintillating show throughout the series.

Despite the scorching heat, the cricketer remained fit and was agile throughout the game. Taking the fans through the process was none other than trainer Basu Shanker who said that cricketers are following this ploy for quite some time now, especially when they play in the sub-continent under the scorching sun.

Explaining the motive behind this, Basu said that this is a cool respite for the boys. He also said that Mayank Agarwal’s energy is infectious as the opener was seen taking an ice bath. Mayank said that it was really cold in the tub.

Shankar Basu said that the team has fine-tuned things as per the needs of the team. India’s Test deputy Ajinkya Rahane was also seen taking the ice bath. Rahane scored a fine 80 in the first innings of the second Test match to put together a crucial partnership with Rishabh Pant. Team India’s trainer said Ajinkya Rahane is a hard-working freak. In fact, Basu said that he sometimes has to stop Rahane from working too hard.

Subsequently, Rahane said ice-bath helps in maintaining the body temperature of the body. Meanwhile, India was able to clinch the series 2-0 convincingly.
