Team India’s bowling coach, Bharat Arun spoke on the possible changes for the second Test against the Windies, saying the hosts would field their best possible XI in Hyderabad. Meanwhile, Bharat Arun feels the Windies will backing themselves with the active side after a massive loss in Rajkot. However, they will likely include their two experienced fast bowlers – Kemar Roach and Jason Holder.

Moreover, while speaking to the media, Arun further said every member from the 16-member squad could play good cricket for the nation. He also noted every Test builds up some new character when questioned whether the Test series against Windies is a preparation for the upcoming Australia tour or not.

“For instance, look at Prithvi Shaw who was fabulous in the first Test at Rajkot. More than the runs he scored, the composure and the body language he showed are the kind of things we look for from a player,” Bharat Arun said.

Also, the bowling coach is overwhelmed with the bowling attack of India. The hosts bowled some brilliant line and length deliveries which saw them wrapping Windies’ both innings inside three sessions. However, Bharat Arun is still looking for more improvement in certain areas which might help the team to achieve more.

“Definitely, we are delighted with the way the bowlers are doing well consistently at the highest level.  Still, we are constantly looking for improvement in all areas,” he added.

Bharat spoke about Siraj, Rahane

While speaking about Ajinkya Rahane, Arun feels he has some good qualities in him and also had some overseas records which make him one of the best batsmen of Indian cricket,

“He got everything to be a world class player,” he added.

Meanwhile, Arun groomed Mohammed Siraj when he used to play for Hyderabad at Ranji Trophy. He also said Siraj is also a quick learner and has a lot of capabilities which reflects his performance with India A team in recent past.

“And, with experience, he will be still a much better bowler. It is unfortunate that pacer Umesh Yadav didn’t get too many chances in South Africa and England. Essentially we are rotating the bowlers and Umesh will be a part of this process,” Bharat Arun said.
