Indian Cricket Fraternity Salutes Hima Das For Winning Five Gold Medals In 19 Days

Indian sprinter athlete Hima Das is on a serious roll. Das is breaking all the records and she claimed her fifth gold medal in just 19 days. The 19-year-old sprinter is doing a fine job in Prague where she is making the whole of India proud of her achievements. Subsequently, the Indian cricket fraternity took to their respective Twitter account to salute the champion athlete.

Hima’s latest gold medal came on Saturday when she clocked a season-best time of 52.09 seconds to finish first in 400m at the Nove Mesto nad Metuji Grand Prix. In fact, her personal best is 50.79 seconds, which she had recorded at the 2018 Asian Games.

Hima Das had also claimed a gold medal in 400 metres relay in the Asian Games in 2018 which were held in Jakarta, Indonesia. Subsequently, Das who is known as Dhing express was crowned with an Arjuna Award.

Meanwhile, the former big players like Sachin Tendulkar and VVS Laxman have taken to their Twitter handle to praise the athlete. Das also replied to Sachin Tendulkar‘s post and gave her congratulations to the Master Blaster for getting inducted into the ICC hall of fame.

In fact, the Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi also took to his social media platform to congratulate Hima Das.

Das had claimed the first Gold Medal when she completed 200 m in 23.56 seconds on 2nd July at the Poznan Athletics Grand Prix in Poland. Since then Das has not looked back as she has run like a wind.

On 8th July, the prodigy runner won her second 200 m gold in Poland. On 13th July, Hima Das had won her third Gold Medal in Kladno Athletics Meet in the Czech Republic. Das had won her fourth Gold medal in Tabor Athletics Meet on 17th July.
