The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is set the announce the schedule of Indian Premier League 2019 (IPL 2019) on Monday, as reported by Mumbai Mirror. In fact, this is going to be a temporary schedule of the T20 league as there is going to be general elections in the country. Thus, the dates and venues can fluctuate.

Meanwhile, the IPL is going to be hosted by India. In fact, there were reports doing the rounds that IPL could be shifted to other country owing to the Lok Sabha elections in the country.

IPL would serve as a perfect platform to prepare for the World Cup.

IPL was shifted to South Africa in its second edition in 2009. Furthermore, the first half of the 2014 season was also played in the UAE before it moved back to India.

The Indian Premier League is going to kickstart from 23 March. It is expected that IPL will end in the first week of May so that the players have enough time to prepare for the World Cup.

Meanwhile, no Australian player who will be a part of the World Cup squad will participate in IPL after May 1. Furthermore, players from England, South Africa, and Sri Lanka will also leave early. In fact, New Zealand players are going to be available for the complete edition of the Indian Premier League.

On the other hand, Chennai Super Kings are the defending champions of the IPL. Chennai who made a return after a gap of two years was able to go all the way under the leadership of former Indian skipper MS Dhoni. The Men in Yellow equaled Mumbai Indians tally as this was their third IPL title. Thus, they would look to defend their crown.
