Indian Skipper Virat Kohli Condoles The Demise Of Arun Jaitley

On Saturday, India lost one more highly respected leader of the country in the form of Arun Jaitley. One of the great men in India Arun Jaitley has suffered an illness, which succumbed him to death. Meanwhile, the Indian skipper Virat Kohli took to social media in order to pay his last respects to Arun Jaitley.

In a brief statement, the hospital said Jaitley died at 12.07 pm. It is profound grief that we inform about the sad demise of Arun Jaitley, former Finance Minister of Government of India, at 12.07 pm on August 24, the AIIMS said.

Jaitley was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi on August 9. He was treated by a multi-disciplinary team of senior doctors. Hospital sources had earlier said he was on life support.

Jaitley, a lawyer by profession, had been a key member of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Cabinet in the BJP government’s first term. He held the finance and defence portfolios, and often acted as the chief troubleshooter of the government.

Virat Kohli paid a heartfelt tribute on social media while narrating when Jaitley visited took out time to visit India skipper’s home when his father had passed away in 2006.  And also, he termed Jaitley as one of the nicest persons.

Digging into his tweet, it read ”Shocked & saddened to hear about the passing away of Shri Arun Jaitley Ji. He was genuinely a good person. Always willing to help others. He took out his precious time back in 2006 when my father passed away to come to my home & pay his condolences. May his soul rest in peace.”

Arun Jaitley’s last rites will be performed on Sunday afternoon at the Nigambodh Ghat in New Delhi. Jaitley, 66, a senior leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), stepped down as finance minister in January due to ill health. It was just a few months before elections that returned Modi’s Hindu nationalists to power.

Currently, Virat Kohli is in West Indies leading the team in Test format of the game, which falls under the new Test Championship. So far, the Indian team is sitting firmly on the driver seat of the Test match at Antigua.
