Kuldeep Yadav, this name is buzzing the cricketing world ever since the iconic Eden Garden witnessed the hat-trick of hat-tricks, as MS Dhoni completed a sharp catch behind the wickets of the left-arm unorthodox bowling of Yadav.

Previously, Kapil Dev in 1991 and Harbhajan Singh in 2001 became the hat-trick takers for India in international cricket in the city of joy.

There are other two Indian bowlers too, who have a hat-trick against their name, Chetan Sharma and Irfan Pathan. Kuldeep Yadav’s maiden hat-trick ensured that he became only the third Indian bowler to take three wickets in three deliveries in an ODI match.

Chetan Sharma was the first Indian bowler to take a hat-trick, in his hat-trick, the little master, Sunil Gavaskar scored his only ODI hundred and was adjudged as Man of the Match but India’s most prolific batsman shared his award with Sharma and former fast-bowler thinks Virat could’ve also shared his award with the youngster.

“I got the man-of-the-match award along with Sunil Gavaskar, who scored his only ODI hundred in the same match (India v New Zealand in the 1987 World Cup at Nagpur). I was happy to share the man-of-the-match award with the legend. Here too, there should have been a joint man-of-the-match award – Kuldeep and Kohli, Kohli is scoring runs often, but a hat-trick comes once in a while. The last hat-trick by an Indian in ODI cricket was Kapil Dev’s which he bagged in 1991. He said”

Virat scored a brilliant 92 on a tricky wicket and was adjudged as player of the match, as India took a 2-0 lead in the five-match ODI series against Australia.
