IPL 2018: 40th Match, Rajasthan Royals Vs Kings XI Punjab - Weather Forecast

Rajasthan Royals (RR) will be desperate to complete their revenge when they square off against the in-form Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium on May 8 (Tuesday).

Meanwhile, Ajinkya Rahane-led Royals are languishing at the bottom of the points table and will be keen to turn things for them.

The Jaipur-based camp has had struggled due to lack of inconsistency and eventually failed to put up an act together as a team. Perhaps the biggest disappointments for hosts have been their biggest buys, Ben Stokes and Jaydev Unadkat.

Both the players are yet to set the stage on fire. Overall, it is the Royals batting that has been the weak link even if the bowlers have done their bit.

On the other hand, the form of KL Rahul and Chris Gayle has boosted the team from Punjab. The bowlers have also chipped in with useful contributions especially teenage sensation Mujeeb Ur Rahman.

Ravichandran Ashwin’s Punjab sit pretty at No. 3 on the table and is likely to qualify for the playoffs. They can go out and either have some fun or try the likes of Aaron Finch and David Miller among others.
