IPL 2018: Ajinkya Rahane Retained by Rajasthan Royals By Use Of RTM Card (4 cr)

Ajinkya Rahane, India Test captain, was retained by Rajasthan Royal by the use of RTM card. He was sold to Kings XI Punjab for a price of Rs 4 Crore but Rajasthan Royals used their RTM card on him.

It was Kings XI Punjab that opened the bidding for him and went onto drag his price to Rs 4 Crore. They wrested the player from Mumbai Indians, who also bid for Rahane but in the end, it was Rajasthan Royals who went away with their former player.

Ajinkya Rahane and Steven Smith are the two players till now to be retained by Rajasthan Royals. They now have two RTM cards remaining in their bank.
