IPL 2018: Finch To Play For KXIP; McCullum Becomes First Buy Of The Day For RCB

Australia T20I vice-captain, Aaron Finch, was sold to Kings XI Punjab for a huge amount of Rs 6.2 Crore. Finch attracted bids from Delhi Daredevils and Kings XI Punjab, and in the end, it was the latter that won the race.

Finch played for Gujarat Lions in the previous season. He batted at a strike rate of 163.04 in the previous season for his 300 runs in 13 matches. In total, he has played 65 IPL games and has scored 1604 runs at a strike rate of 130.08.

Finch will be joining likes of KL Rahul, Karun Nair, Yuvraj Singh, David Miller and Ravichandran Aswhin. He can also be looked as a captaincy prospect by the franchise for the upcoming season.

Brendon McCullum Goes to RCB  –

Former New Zealand skipper, Brendon McCullum, was the first buy of the day for Royal Challengers Bangalore. The franchise paid him an amount of 3.60 Crore. This will be the first stint for McCullum with RCB.

In total, he has played a total of 103 IPL games in which he has scored 2754 runs. He is still remembered for playing an innings of 158* in the opening game of IPL’s first season way back in 2008.

Last year, McCullum’s IPL stint came to an end when he suffered a hamstring injury.
