Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) strike bowler, Bhuvneshwar Kumar revealed his thought process during the last over against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the post-match presentation ceremony.

Meanwhile, Kumar bowled a terrific last over to defend 12 runs and handed Hyderabad another two points.

The Hyderabad bowlers once again stepped up to the occasion, as they contained a heavyweight batting-unit. The bowlers did an uphill task to hold the Bangalore batting which has the likes of AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli.

Colin de Grandhomme (33) and Mandeep Singh (21*) tried their best but fell short by five runs. Virat Kohli (39) also showed some form but failed to complete the task.

However, previously, Hyderabad received three early blows, as they got reduced to 48 for three in the first nine overs. Since then, Kane Williamson (56) and Shakib Al Hasan (35) stitched a beneficial partnership to take his team closer to the 150-run mark.

Didn’t think about the pressure

The 28-year old had a great return after nursing an injury. He bowled a tight line and length and led the bowling unit. However, he got good support from the other bowlers, who did a remarkable job.

Talking about the tensed last over, Kumar admitted he was not thinking about the pressure and was instead focusing on his bowling. He also revealed this is a result of good practice at the nets.

Wouldn’t say I thought a lot about the pressure. Was really focusing on what to do each ball and it paid off. (On his yorker ability) With hard work, it’s also smart work. I always focus on execution in the nets. What you practice in the nets well comes off on the park,” Bhuvneshwar was quoted as saying by Indian Express after speaking to media.
