Sunrisers Hyderabad won the toss and decided to field first against Chennai Super Kings in the twentieth match of the Indian Premier League at Uppal Stadium, Hyderabad.

Here is what the captains said:

Kane Williamson

“We’ll bowl. Not a strong advantage as the wicket remains similar generally. They have a strong batting line-up the Chennai side so it’s important we do the job first up. Billy Stanlake comes in for CJ and Ricky Bhui makes his debut, comes in for Shikhar. He adds to anyteam so his inclusion would be good. It’s a good chance for Ricky who’s an exciting young talent. Think Shikhar will be ready for the next match. It’s always a tough game. We’ll play at the best of our ability.”

MS Dhoni

“So far so good. Everyone has contributed when it comes to bowling or batting. It’s always important that’s why you are playing a team sport. What is important someone soaks up the pressure. Imran Tahir is not fit so Faf comes in.”

Preview

Both the teams are in very good form after good starts to their respective campaigns. Although Sunrisers Hyderabad lost their previous game to Kings XI Punjab, thanks to a Gayle masterclass, they are the best side in the tournament so far.

On the other hand, Chennai Super Kings are looking like an all round team as they are finding new match winners for every game. The form of Shane Watson at the top of the order is a huge positive for the team. Suresh Raina’s return to the middle order coupled with an in form MS Dhoni has strengthened their batting.

Sunrisers Hyderabad batting had taken a serious toll with the injury of Shikhar Dhawan. The southpaw suffered a blow to his elbow in the game against Kings XI Punjab. He is facing race against time to be fit for the game against Chennai Super Kings.

Sunrisers’ bowling was shattered by Chris Gayle in the previous game. But they still contain the best bowling lineup to tackle Chennai’s star batsmen. With both the teams in good momentum, a win in this game will help the winners take a huge step towards play off positions.
