Mumbai Indians won the toss and decided to field first against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the thirty-first match of the Indian Premier League at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore.

Here is what the captains said:

Virat Kohli:

“If you don’t play well at home you don’t feel right. We would have fielded first as well. It might got slower in the second half. AB is still sick. Still not recovered. Only one change: Sundar back for Murugan Ashwin.”

Rohit Sharma:

“We are going to field first. Looks a good pitch. It has been a good pitch over the last few games. With dew coming in it becomes easier in the second half. Unfortunately Ewin Lewis misses out and Pollard comes in.”

 Playing elevens:

Mumbai Indians:

Suryakumar Yadav, Rohit Sharma(c), Hardik Pandya, Ishan Kishan(w), Jean-Paul Duminy, Krunal Pandya, Kieron Pollard, Ben Cutting, Mitchell McClenaghan, Mayank Markande, Jasprit Bumrah
