Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will be desperate to finish on the winning side when they square up against the defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore on May 1 (Tuesday).

Meanwhile, Mumbai will go out with their tails up with confidence to take on a strong batting line-up of RCB while the heartbreaking back-to-back defeats would have devastated the team’s confidence, but RCB will have to play out of their skins to stay in the competition.

Moreover, both the teams have won two games each so far and are lying at the wrong half of the table. However, they need to start winning if they want to give themselves a chance of qualifying.

It will be a huge blow for the home side if AB de Villiers fails to recover from injury. He also missed the last game due to viral fever and is still recovering. However, Mumbai, who is yet to bring their team game to the front and will be raring to go.

It will be an interesting clash, as both the teams will look to change things from now onwards.

Although there are bleak chances of rain, Bengaluru weather is not at all predictable. The groundsmen will have to be on their toes during the forty overs of action. There will also be a fair amount of cloud cover during the whole day.

Meanwhile, the fans will expect a full forty overs of action although it rained cats and dogs in Bengaluru yesterday.

However, both the teams will keep in mind the rain factor and accordingly plan their strategy.
