IPL 2018: Mohammed Siraj Invites Virat Kohli and Co. for a Dinner With His Family

Royal Challengers Bangalore are almost out of contention for playoffs after losing their 7^th match of the tournament against the Sunrisers Hyderabad by five runs.

Yet again it was a sensational display of bowling by Hyderabad. They managed to defend a score less than 150. Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowled a terrific final over with 12 required. He bowled all six deliveries in the perfect area and never really allowed the duo of Mandeep Singh and Colin de Grandhomme to get under the ball. He perfectly executed Yorkers which almost confirmed Hyderabad’s place in the playoffs.

However, Hyderabad had to fight hard for the victory. The Bangalore bowlers were quite impressive and never really allowed Hyderabad to press on the accelerator. SRH skipper, Kane Williamson played yet another fluent hand. He ended up scoring his fifth half-century of IPL 2018 which helped Hyderabad post a respectable total of 146 in the allotted 20 overs.

The pick of the Bangalore bowlers was Mohammed Siraj who returned with impressive figures of 3/25 in his allotted four overs. He bowled well in the last few matches as well. Siraj bowled in good areas and was supported brilliantly by Tim Southee in other game. The paceman also bagged a three-wicket haul which never really allowed to push for a big score.

Ahead of the all-important clash for Bangalore, Siraj had invited the Royal Challengers Bangalore squad to his home. Captain Virat Kohli, Washington Sundar and Yuzvendra Chahal were seen posing for a photo alongside Siraj’s family.

They were invited for dinner, and Siraj thanked them for obliging his request.

Taking to his Instagram handle, Siraj wrote,

“It was an honour for me and my Family to welcome you all?? Thanks a lot for taking out your precious time and joining us at a place for dinner ??It really means a lot.” 

Siraj has been an impressive performer in the last couple of games for Bangalore. However, he hasn’t been consistent enough which has been the same old story for the RCB bowlers.

Siraj was part of the Surnisers Hyderabad squad in the previous edition of the tournament in 2017.
