South Africa pacer Lungi Ngidi did not get much attention on day 2 of the IPL auction as he was sold to Chennai Super Kings for an amount of Rs 50 Lakh, which was also his base price.

Ngidi was rated highly after he bagged the Man of the Match award in his Test debut against India, where he bagged seven wickets. He drew a lot of attention when he dismissed Virat Kohli more than once in the series.

However, he was not a hot property in the auction and was sold on his base price. CSK was the sole franchise to show interest in him.

Ngidi made his T20I debut last year against Sri Lanka and will soon be making his ODI debut as well as he has been included in the ODI squad for the first three ODIs against India.

The ODI series between India and South Africa starts on February 1.
