Sunrisers Hyderabad have once again build a strong squad for the upcoming season of Indian Premier League. The 2016 season’s champions began the recently-concluded auction by re-signing their star opener Shikhar Dhawan through Right to Match card and went on to sign several big players to bolster every department for the eleventh edition of Indian Premier League.

The much-anticipated auction finished on Sunday (January 28) in Bangalore, and it justified the hype surrounding it. From Jaydev Unadkat becoming the most expensive Indian player in the auction to Joe Root going unsold, the two-day auction saw it all.

Coming to the major figures of this year’s auction, out of 578 players, only 169 were sold. 113 of the sold players are Indians while the remaining 56 are overseas. Unadkat became the most expensive Indian player after being bought by Rajasthan Royals for a whopping amount of INR 11.5 crore while Ben Stokes once again became the most expensive overseas player after being bought by the same franchise for INR 12.5 crore.

Now that the auction is done and dusted, we are taking a look at the squad of Sunrisers Hyderabad.  The Hyderabad-based franchise had retained their talismanic skipper David Warner and pace spearheaded Bhuvneshwar Kumar and went on to re-sign Shikhar Dhawan, Kane Williamson and Rashid Khan to keep the core of the team intact. Also, they secured the services of Bangladesh ace Shakib Al Hasan, Wriddhiman Saha,  West Indies star Carlos Brathwaite, Manish Pandey. Yusuf Pathan among many other to bolster their squad.
