Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) wicket-keeper batsman, Wriddhiman Saha will miss the clash against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on May 13 (Sunday) at the MCA Stadium, Pune.
Meanwhile, this will be the second game on a trot Saha will miss due to injury. The cricketer from Bengal suffered a shoulder injury and hasn’t recovered yet fully.
As a result, Sreevats Goswami will take his place in the playing XI. It will be a welcome opportunity for him as he will look to make a make at this stage. However, Goswami has experience behind his back playing for three other franchises and he will be desperate to make this opportunity count.
Saha has been of top-notch behind the stumps as always. However, he is yet to make a mark with the bat in this edition. The short height cricketer has the ability to clear the grounds and also has IPL hundred to his name.
Saha to miss CSK tie
Hyderabad head coach, Tom Moody confirmed that Saha hasn’t recovered yet and will miss the game. He also further added that he is likely to get fit for the final match of the group stages.
“Saha will not be available. He is still recovering from soreness in his shoulder. We are expecting him to be available for the final (league) match. (Apart from Saha) at this stage we are okay,” Moody said on the eve of CSK tie.
Meanwhile, Hyderabad has already booked their place in the playoff with a win over Delhi Daredevils. Moody, however, maintained that they are in no mood to experiment and will look to keep the winning momentum going.
