The marquee clash of the tournament between MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings and Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore, belonged to the former yet again, as the yellows trumped over the red and blacks by six wickets.

Much like the last match in Bengaluru, CSK chased down the required total with many balls to spare. The crowd in Pune were treated with a trademark MSD finish, by hitting Chahal thrice into the stands in the 18th over.

The match was set up brilliantly by Ravindra Jadeja who picked himself up from the last game and clinched three wickets at an economy of a shade over four.

For those unaware, Jadeja failed to impress in all departments in Chennai’s last game against Kolkata Knight Riders. Jaddu dropped two successive catches and was expensive during his spell at Kolkata, scoring a run-a-ball 12.

However, Jadeja turned it around for his side with the crucial wickets of captain Virat Kohli, Mandeep Singh, and Parthiv Patel.

Bhajji also bowled very well: Jadeja

It’s good to get MoM awards in a T20 game. Very happy with the way I bowled today. The wicket was a bit dry, the ball was holding a bit, I was looking to bowl in the right areas and not give them width,” said the man of the match, Ravindra Jadeja.

Also, he credited Harbhajan Singh who was bowling well in tandem with him, choking the RCB batsmen during the middle overs.

Bhajji also bowled very well, together, we tried not to give them too many runs. Overall, I am very happy, I finally took a few wickets, looking to do better and better in the coming games,” concluded Ravindra Jadeja.
