In the 29th match of the IPL 2018, Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper, Virat Kohli took a dig at the bowling action of Sunil Narine.

It is reported as per a Twitter post that Kohli said at the end of an over, “Battaa mar hai (he is throwing the ball), to the on-field umpire.

It is known that Sunil Narine has been reported for a suspected action on numerous occasions in the past. Recently, the Windies spinner also got reported for his bowling action in the Pakistan Super League.

RCB Manager denies such reports.

However, it should be noted that it is not Virat Kohli’s job to tell the on-field umpires. It should be respected that an umpire’s job should be left to them and players have no rights to pass on such judgments.

It is known that on-field umpires report any suspected action to the higher authorities such, as the BCCI or the ICC and the not the players on the field.

In the match of RCB vs KKR, the on-field umpires were Nigel Llong and Anil Chaudhary. As per the reports in Pune Mirror, it is known that both the on-field umpires didn’t report any such instance.

However, the match referee Manu Nayyar said that these type of incidents are a norm on a cricket field. But, he declined to give an update on the matter.

“These things happen on the field, but I am not supposed to speak on the matter to the media. You should contact the BCCI,” the match referee said.

Meanwhile, Royal Challengers Bangalore manager Avinash Vaidhya smashed any rumours regarding any insulting comments from his side’s captain.

“Nothing of that sort has happened, and the match officials have not spoken to us,” said Avinash.

Virat Kohli had no right to make such a derogatory comment on Sunil Narine. However, there was also no confirmation from the match officials about the authenticity of the incident.
