Chennai Super Kings (CSK) all-rounder Dwayne Bravo added spark to the Chennai’s dressing room after their win against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by two wickets.

It is a celebration time for the Super Kings as they made their way into the final of the Indian Premier League (IPL) for the eight time.

Bravo played his part with the ball as he scalped two wickets. Furthermore, he conceded only 25 runs in his quota of four overs,

The credit of their win goes to South African skipper Faf du Plessis, who scored an unbeaten 67 off just 42 balls.

Meanwhile, the Men in Yellow had their backs against the wall in their chase of 140 against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). Mahendra Singh Dhoni-led team kept losing wickets at regular wickets which kept them behind the eight ball.

Faf du Plessis was able to rescue his team from choppy waters:

Meanwhile, Sunrisers also struggled with their batting. The Orange Army was able to put 139 on the board after late overs hammering by Carlos Brathwaite. The Windies Twenty20 skipper scored a quickfire 43 off just 29 balls.

However, a target of 140 runs was expected to be a cakewalk for the Chennai team. But Sunrisers’ bowlers did make the chase difficult for Dhoni’s team.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar struck early to sent back Shane Watson. Meanwhile, Siddharth Kaul, Sandeep Sharma and Rashid Khan kept striking at regular intervals to keep Sunrisers nose in front.

Consequently, CSK found themselves in the troubled waters, However, du Plessis came to the rescue of the team to pull them out. It is a norm in this season for the two-time champions that one player has stood out for them when they have found themselves in deep trouble.

However, du Plessis whose place in the playing XI was not confirmed, delivered the goods for his team. The Proteas leader made use of his experience and held one end to take his team over the line.

The right-hander was patient in his strokeplay and took the match deep.
