Furthermore, Shivam Dube revealed that AB de Villiers also motivated him in the practice sessions. There was no doubt that Dube confidence must have been going down and de Villiers words would have added a shot in the arm. The left-handed batsman who had made headlines before the IPL could not get going as he scored only 40 runs in the four matches he played for the franchise.

Shivam Dube Heaps Praise on AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli.

“ABD (De Villiers) always told me to keep a positive attitude in any situation. And it has really helped solve my problems in tough situations. He’s a great team player and even as a senior. He always motivated me in practice as well as in the matches,” Dube told IANS.

On the other hand, Shivam Dube also heaped praise on Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Virat Kohli. The Mumbai-based batsman said Kohli led with aplomb and gave confidence to the other players of the team. However, it wasn’t an ideal season for the team as they won only five matches and got only 11 points under their bag. In fact, Royal Challengers Bangalore got off to a horrendous season as they lost the first six matches.

“I have been able to learn a lot of things from him, including his way of managing the team and keeping the entire team together. He is a great leader,” Dube said.

Meanwhile, Shivam Dube could not impress with either bat or the ball in his maiden season of the IPL. The young all-rounder added that he gave his best, however, he could not deliver the goods for the team.

“I gave my 100 per cent but unfortunately it wasn’t enough for our team as a whole. I know I have more to achieve and I can definitely do much better,” Dube further added.

Meanwhile, Shivam Dube will get a chance to get back into form in the upcoming Mumbai T20 league. The left-hander has a lot of promise and he would like to turn the tables in the next season of the league.
