IPL 2019 Auctions: Sheldon Jackson Lets Out His Frustration After Being Unsold

Well, the IPL auction has always been a platform for many rags to riches stories. However, it is also the platform where few talented cricketers are left depressed. One of them is Sheldon Jackson, who has been exceptional in the domestic circuit but failed to grab the deal in the IPL 2019 auctions.

In anger, Sheldon Jackson let his frustration out on the social media questioning the importance of domestic circuit. He also used a cuss word regarding the selection of players in the auctions. Further, he spoke on the selection of Varun Chakaravarthy.

A Big Applause for State Associations – Sheldon Jackson

Sheldon Jackson repeatedly used “WTF” in his series of tweets. Further, he showered words of praise on the states, who have got their own short-format tournaments. He went on to question the selection of Varun Chakaravarthy instead of Dharmendra Jadeja, who has been exceptional in Ranji Circuit.

In his last tweet, the wicket-keeper batsman took the example of his teammate Dhamendrasinh Jadeja. The 28-year-old has been bringing out some terrific performances in the domestic circuit. He has picked up 35 wickets thus far including a hat-trick. Yet, he went ignored and wasn’t even a part of the auction.

“A big applause to all the state associations who have their own leagues. Varun Chakaravarthy a big example, and players like Dharmendra jadeja who day in and do out, perform in the domestic circuit but goes unnoticed after taking a hatrick with 35 wickets,” wrote Sheldon Jackson in the last tweet.

Sheldon Jackson has got a valid point, as many Ranji Performers were left out of in the auctions. However, he needs to understand that IPL is not about the Ranji performances, it is about the player fitting in the plans of the franchise.
