IPL 2019: Delhi Capitals Designate Dhiraj Malhotra As CEO

After the wholesome of changes to the upcoming edition of Indian Premier League 2019, Delhi Capitals once again appointed a new member to the franchise. They have named the former ICC Employee Dhiraj Malhotra as their new CEO for the upcoming 12th edition of the league.

Alongside the inclusion of Dhiraj, Srinath T B was named Head of Operations of the Delhi-based franchise. Malhotra is a seasoned administrator, who diversified experience of more than 24 years that includes working with International Cricket Council, Wasserman Media Group (WMG), and International Management Group (IMG) among others.

Meanwhile, speaking of the appointment, Chairman Parth Jindal quoted that they are delighted to have Dhiraj Malhotra in the mix. Further, he added that they are seeking for a fresh start in the Indian Premier League 2019. He believes that the vast experience of Dhiraj will help the team.

“We are delighted to have Dhiraj and Srinath on board to lead the Delhi Capitals’ day-to-day business and operations. As a team, we are seeking a fresh approach and the franchise’s direction has been entrusted in two outstanding individuals who will take it forward on and off the pitch basis the vast experience that they come with,” said Delhi Capitals chairman Parth Jindal.

Meanwhile, Malhotra quoted that he is honoured to join Delhi Capitals. He believes that the current setup has got the required ingredients to taste the success in the upcoming edition. And also, he thanked Delhi for trusting him.

“I am honoured that the Delhi Capitals’ ownership team has entrusted me to lead their franchise’s mandate. I am keen to build our focus on performance and connect back to our fans from Delhi. We have a stellar team this year and have the potential to really make a mark this season,” said Malhotra.

Well, it seems like Delhi Capitals wants everything to start afresh in the Indian Premier League 2019. Meanwhile, it is learnt that Malhotra also served the Indian Army and was awarded Shaurya Chakra by the President of India in 1999 for his role in rescue operations in Kashmir.
