Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) failed to progress to the playoff stages despite beating Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in their last league game at the PCA IS Bindra Stadium. They have been mostly inconsistent throughout the season which has gone against them in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League (IPL).  Following another poor season, Punjab co-owner Preity Zinta took to Twitter to thank their fans and promised to come back stronger.

Meanwhile, Mohali witnessed an absolute carnage from KL Rahul as Punjab registered a thumping victory over the defending champions in their last group match. Chasing 171 runs, KL Rahul registered the third fastest half-century in this IPL to set the tone for the run chase. Although he got out after a well-made 7, Chris Gayle and Nicholas Pooran ensured they go home safely with six wickets in hand. Sam Curran played a crucial role in containing the Chennai Super Kings picking up three wickets and then coming back to clinch the victory with a boundary off Imran Tahir.

Kings XI Punjab have lost track midway in the tournament which put them behind in the race for qualification second time in a row. They will have to ponder over all this and revamp their squad ahead of the next season. Co-owner of Kings XI Punjab and Bollywood actress, Preity Zinta also echoed the same line. She promised to come out harder and stronger in the IPL 2020. In conclusion, Zinta thanked the Mohali crowd for turning out in huge numbers.
