Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have scripted an emphatic turnaround winning three back to back games to keep their hopes alive in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Virat Kohli has led this team brilliantly in the second half of the tournament, and Bangalore’s overseas recruit Marcus Stoinis can’t stop but shower him with high praise.

Meanwhile, Bangalore had the worst start to the tournament losing six games on a trot. The bowling unit failed to rise to the occasion which hurt the franchise badly. But the arrival of Dale Steyn in place of Nathan Coulter-Nile changed their fate as they found a leader in him. Steyn led the bowling unit, and with Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers, the team started to produce results. Marcus Stoinis, who has joined Bangalore from Kings XI Punjab this year, also has played some crucial knock along with England all-rounder.

IPL

One of the best of all-time

Stoinis, who will resume rivalry with Kohli once the IPL gets over, shared heaps of praise on the talismanic run-scorer. The Australian all-rounder said that it is better to be in Virat Kohli’s team instead of playing against him. Marcus Stoinis also added he has tried to pick some of his brains while spending time in the dressing room. Stoinis also said that Kohli is one of the all-time greats and looks very determined about his game.

I have known Virat for a while. It’s probably much better playing with him than against him. Yeah, I have learned quite a bit from him as well. His passion definitely rubs off on everyone in the change room. He is very clear, very determined, he knows what he wants to do. So it’s good to watch one of the best in the world, or one of the best of all time nearly, to go about his stuff,” Stoinis said to the reporters on the sidelines of an RCB training session.

Meanwhile, Marcus Stoinis will look to play some good knocks before he leaves Bangalore to link with the Australia side for the World Cup. Bangalore still needs to win all his games to give themselves an outside chance of qualifying for the playoffs. They defeated Kings XI Punjab by 17 runs last night at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium and will look to carry on the momentum in the next games.
