On Thursday (4th April) night, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) clinched their third successive victories in this IPL season after beating the home team Delhi Capitals (DC) by five wickets (with nine balls remaining) at Feroz Shah Kotla Ground (Delhi).

After winning the toss, the visiting captain Bhuvneshwar Kumar sent the host side to bat first. DC struggled from the beginning of their innings and managed to score 129/8 (20 overs)

In reply, the visiting team played powerfully during the mandatory powerplay round as they managed to score 62/0 in the first six overs. Though they lost few wickets in the middle overs, the Orange Army comfortably secured their victory in 18.3 overs after losing five wickets.

The previous record holder was the left-arm spinner Shahbaz Nadeem with the economy rate of 3.50 (2-0-7-0) at Hyderabad (Deccan) on 4th May 2013.

i) Off-spinner Mohammad Nabi had the bowling figures 4-0-21-2. Only once an SRH spinner produced the better bowling figures against the Delhi franchise than this one. On 9th May 2015, the leg-spinner Karn Sharma had the bowling figures of 3-0-12-2 at Raipur on 9th May 2015.

ii) The wicketkeeper-batsman Jonny Bairstow scored 48 runs. No other SRH wicketkeeper-batsman has scored these many runs in an innings against the Delhi franchise. The previous record holder was Kumar Sangakkara with 28 runs at Delhi on 12th April 2013.
