Mumbai Indians (MI) claimed an easy victory against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Sunday (5th May) night at Wankhede Stadium (Mumbai). The home team MI thrashed the visitors by nine wickets.

After MI decided to field first, the Kolkata franchise was restricted to 133/7 (20 overs). In reply, the home team chased down that target in 16.1 overs after losing only one wicket.

ii) Rohit Sharma scored his sixth 50+ score (one century and five half-centuries) against KKR which is the most number of 50+ scores for a right-handed batsman against KKR. During this match, Rohit surpassed Virat Kohli who has scored five 50+ scores against the Kolkata franchise.

iii) The right-arm pacer Jasprit Bumrah has taken 38 T20 wickets at Wankhede Stadium (Mumbai). He is the third most T20 wicket-taker at this venue. After this match, he is only behind of Lasith Malinga (65 wickets) and Harbhajan Singh (53 wickets).

iv) Quinton de Kock becomes the sixth South African batsman and 47th overall batsman to hit 50 IPL sixes.

KKR

i) By the end of this match, Robin Uthappa has hit 85 IPL sixes for KKR which is the joint second most IPL sixes for a KKR batsman. Yusuf Pathan also hit 85 IPL sixes during his tenure in KKR. Meanwhile, Andre Russell is on top of this list with 117 IPL sixes for this side.
