Former England Cricket team skipper Michael Vaughan has predicted Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) to lift the Indian Premier League (IPL) trophy in the upcoming season. Meanwhile, the Virat Kohli-led side is yet to win the coveted title in the past 11 years. As a result, they will be desperate to end their barren run in the tournament.

IPL 2019 will begin on March 23 with Royal Challengers Bangalore taking on defending champions Chennai Super Kings at the Chepauk. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), earlier today, released the schedule of the group stages of the league. Previously, they have announced the itinerary for the first two weeks of the tournament and waited for the dates of the general elections to come out.

Royal Challengers Bangalore, however, haven’t had a good time in the IPL. The last time they reached the knockout stages of the league was in 2016. They went on to play the final but lost pinnacle clash to Sunrisers Hyderabad, who clinched their debut title. In 2017, RCB finished at the bottom of the table with just three wins in 14 matches while they finished sixth in the last season of IPL.

Meanwhile, with another exciting season on the cards, Michael Vaughan feels this can be the breakout season for the Royal Challengers Bangalore. The former English skipper has predicted RCB as the winner of IPL 2019. Besides, he also informed his fans that he is coming to India soon for the IPL.

IPL soon … @RCBTweets to win it this year me thinks … Looking forward to working with @cricbuzz again … #India #Mumbai,” Michael Vaughan tweeted.

Meanwhile, Royal Challengers Bangalore have added some exciting talents in their ranks in the auctions. They have roped in swashbuckling Windies batter Shimron Hetmyer- who has been in devastating form. The side also have added Shivam Dube in their team who is turning heads with his clean hitting. However, their bowling attack lacks experience as usual which can prove to be detrimental in this long tournament.
