Meanwhile, Chennai Super Kings also became the second team in the IPL history to complete 100 wins in the IPL. Thus, Dhoni has been the best captain in the tournament.

“I think losing him (Dhoni) as a captain is not an issue, losing him as a batsman is always difficult for us. That’s what happened for us against Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians. When he comes to the crease a lot of pressure is created for other teams. When he is not in the team, we see the difference,” Raina said.

In fact, there is a day and night difference when MS Dhoni is not there in the Chennai Super Kings. They have played two matches without him in the season and they have lost both of them. Raina said that Dhoni has done well for them both as a batsman as well as a mentor.

“He has done well in the last couple of years as a batsman as well team mentor. So probably you may see me more next year when he is done but I need more of his calibre. But he will continue as long as he wants to play for Chennai, you know him and Chennai,” Raina added.

MS Dhoni is a guiding light for the youngsters and he has done a fine job for the Chennai Super Kings. Dhoni has led Chennai Super in 156 matches in which he has won 98 matches lost 57 matches. Thus, Dhoni has an impeccable record while leading CSK.
