Of late, Gautam Gambhir is receiving the bad news on a regular basis. Firstly, he received backlash for his comments on Azharuddin, and later, he failed to convert his starts into a big one in Ranji trophy games. Meanwhile, the latest setback comes from Delhi Daredevils, who asked him to leave the franchise. In the meantime, fans strongly reacted to the snub by the franchise.

Meanwhile, Gautam Gambhir has been brilliant over the years in the Indian Premier League. Ever since he made his appearance in KKR jersey, the stylish southpaw has done incredibly well for the franchise. He is one of the chief run-scorers in the IPL and holds quite a few records to his name.

Gautam Gambhir left KKR to join Delhi Daredevils:

Despite sharing a cordial relationship with Kolkata, Gautam Gambhir took a hard step to move to Delhi Daredevils, as he was pretty eager to get the maiden trophy for his home state. However, his short stint with the team hasn’t gone well with the franchise, where he ended up losing the captaincy.

Although displaying a poor show in IPL 2018, it was expected the franchise would rely their trust on the experienced campaigner, who knew the way to success. But, it wasn’t the case, as the franchise thought otherwise.

Alongside Gautam Gambhir, Delhi Daredevils also left the services of Glenn Maxwell, who fared pretty poorly in the previous edition. Jason Roy and Daniel Christian are the other significant exclusions from the side.

Surprisingly, they retained Chris Morris for IPL 2019. Alongside him, they relied their trust on Rabada and Colin Munro as well. Trent Boult and young Nepal sensation, Sandeep Lamichhane is the other overseas player who will be plying their trade with Daredevils this season
