Chennai Super Kings opener Shane Watson has taken a dig at other franchises. After scoring a sublime knock of 96 runs from 53 balls with the help of nine fours and six sixes, Watson was able to roar back into form. Meanwhile, Watson had only scored 147 runs in the first 10 matches as he was struggling for form. Hence, Watson believes any other franchises would have dropped him.

However, we have seen that MS Dhoni likes to back his players. In fact, Dhoni likes to play a stable playing XI without much chop and change and it one of the keys of the franchise. Meanwhile, Shane Watson was at his best in the 41st match of the IPL 2019 against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

In fact, Watson got off to a slow start as he played out a maiden over against Bhuvneshwar Kumar. The Talisman was able to change gears like a super fast car and didn’t look back after settling in. Watson continued his penchant for the SRH bowlers as he had blasted a match-winning hundred in the final against SRH in IPL 2018.

Shane Watson said while talking to host broadcaster in the post-match presentation, “I was due for runs, that’s for sure. I can’t thank Stephen Fleming and MS Dhoni enough for their belief in me. Most of the teams I’ve played in, I would have been dropped by now but they showed the trust in me. Of course, I was doing alright in the PSL and in the BBL too, struck the ball well. Needed some things to go my way, like it did today when Bhuvi was all over me. He is an incredibly skillful bowler as he swings it both ways”.
