IPL 2020 Auction: List Of All Players Sold

The IPL 2020 auction in Kolkata got off to a terrific start with Aussies setting the mega event on fire as they attracted bidders better than anyone else. Chris Lynn became the first player to go under the hammer for his base price ₹2 crores and will begin his new chapter with four-time IPL champions Mumbai Indians.
Eoin Morgan and Aaron Finch were sold to Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore for INR 5.25 crores and INR 4.40 crores respectively. Aussie all-rounder Pat Cummins is trending on social media for becoming the most expensive overseas player in IPL history, surpassing Ben Stokes’ ₹14.5 crore transfer to Rising Pune Supergiant (now-defunct franchise) in 2017.
Kolkata Knight Riders broke the bank and splashed ₹15.5 crores to purchase the services of Pat Cummins. West Indies’ top-order batsman Shimron Hetmyer inspired a heavy bid from Delhi Capitals as he was roped in by the franchise for ₹7.75 crores.
Chennai Super Kings who were running out of cash in their wallet managed to rope in the veteran leg-spinner Piyush Chawla for INR 6.75 crores. Mumbai Indians’ highest signing turned out to be Nathan Coulter-Nile who was signed up by the franchise for INR 8 crores. Kings XI Punjab did a smart business in purchasing Sheldon Cottrell for a whopping INR 8.5 crores.
The rising star Tom Banton who set his base price at INR 1 crore was signed up by Kolkata Knight Riders. Saurabh Tiwary who had earlier played for Mumbai Indians has been signed up by Mumbai Indians franchise for INR 50 lakhs. The 17-year-old talented Yashasvi Jaiswal who set his base price at INR 20 lakhs was drafted in by Rajasthan Royals for INR 2.4 crores.
Among the wicket-keepers, Australia’s Alex Carey who set his base price at INR 50 lakhs stole the spotlight as he was purchased by Delhi Capitals for INR 2.4 crores. Marcus Stoinis was sold to Delhi Capitals for INR 4.8 crores and Chris Morris was sold to Royal Challengers Bangalore for a whopping INR 10 crores.
