The caravan of the Dream11 IPL rolls on and the 36th match will see defending champions, Mumbai Indians [MI] square off against Kings XI Punjab [KXIP] at the Dubai International Stadium on Sunday.

With six wins in eight games, five of which have come in a row, Mumbai Indians have looked near impregnable in the tournament thus far.

Almost every player has chipped in with a match-winning contribution in their campaign thus far. Quinton de Kock is on a red-hot streak with three fifties in the last four games; Rohit Sharma, Surya Kumar Yadav, and Ishan Kishan have chipped-in with impactful performances; Kieron Pollard has done his thing whenever he’s got an opportunity to bat; Rahul Chahar has silently chipped away at the wickets and the fast bowling trio- led by Jasprit Bumrah and Trent Boult has been sensational.

The one concern that Mumbai Indians would have had before their last fixture against Kolkata Knight Riders was the form of Hardik Pandya.

But the manner in which Hardik smashed Pat Cummins in the last game would have shrugged off those doubts.

Can Kings XI Punjab halt the Mumbai Indians juggernaut?

Kings XI Punjab, on the other hand, would have been buoyed by the fact that they finally managed to put a halt to their losing streak thanks to an eight-wicket win against RCB.

The duo of Mayank Agarwal and skipper KL Rahul did what they have been doing thus far in the tournament- give yet another smashing star- while Chris Gayle announced himself with a brilliant half-century in his debut game of IPL 2020.

Another positive for KXIP was the performance of Murugan Ashwin, who strangled RCB batsmen during the middle-overs, and the bowling of Chris Jordan, who redeemed himself after a couple of poor outings.

However, death bowling and middle-order batting still remain an issue for KXIP, something that could once again come back to haunt them against MI.
