Things are beginning to heat up in the Dream11 IPL 2020. And, the 38th game is set to accentuate it even more, when table-toppers Delhi Capitals (DC) lock horns against a rejuvenated Kings XI Punjab outfit at the Dubai International Stadium on Tuesday.

The Delhi Capitals have shown their immense depth in the past few games. Despite being forced to change the team-combinations due to an injury to Rishabh Pant and lack of form of two of their top-3 batsman in Prithvi Shaw and Ajinkya Rahane, they have still found a way to stay at the top of the table.

One of the most pleasing aspects of the Delhi Capitals campaign this season is how different individuals have stepped up at different instances to lead their charge. In the last game, it was Axar Patel, who played an all-round role as he gave away just one boundary in his four overs before smashing three sixes against Jadeja to seal the deal.

Shikhar Dhawan has stepped up to the occasion in the last three games to spearhead the batting-unit but the Capitals will hope that the likes of Shaw, Rahane, and Alex Carey shrug off their poor form in the upcoming game as the Shreyas Iyer-led side cites 2 more points for official qualification in the playoffs.

Kings XI Punjab, on the other hand, will be hoping to continue with the momentum that they gave gained following consecutive wins against Royal Challengers Bangalore and the Mumbai Indians.

Apart from the valuable addition of Chris Gayle in the batting-unit, the biggest positive for the KL Rahul-led unit would be the manner in which Chris Jordan and especially Mohammed Shami bowled in the Super Overs against Mumbai Indians.

One glaring issue that still remains though, is the form of Glenn Maxwell. Maxwell registered a duck against MI and wasn’t even considered for the two Super Overs. There could be a case for Glenn Maxwell to be replaced by James Neesham in the playing 11.

IPL 2020: Match 38: Delhi Capitals Vs Kings XI Punjab: Match Prediction

The last time Delhi Capitals locked horns with Kings XI Punjab, they literally stole the game from the latter kitty thanks to an all-round performance by Marcus Stoinis. A lot of water has flown under the bridge since then. While DC has asserted themselves at the top of the table, KXIP has gone south thanks to some questionable tactics and inability to close out games.

But as we have seen in the last two games that KXIP have played, the only way for them is up. After having won the crucial moments in a maniac fixture against MI, one can expect the Kings to take confidence from it and stage redemption against DC.
