Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will host defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) in the IPL 2020 clash in Sharjah on Thursday. CSK had defeated Mumbai Indians in the inaugural match of the IPL 2020 but since then both the teams have registered contrasting fortunes. CSK will play for their pride while the Mumbai outfit will look avenge their defeat in the game after comfortably sitting at the top half of the table.

CSK will play for their pride as they are already knocked out of the tournament and looked at their worst. They will hope Ambati Rayudu to repeat his heroics from the inaugural match again. Faf du Plessis and Shane Watson will be important to keep the innings steady while Sam Curran would be key as pinch hitter. The middle-order concern for CSK still remains with Ravindra Jadeja key.

Mumbai Indians have defended their title well thus far in the tournament. It will be an opportunity for them to test their young talents before the playoffs begin. Young Ishan Kishan looks doubtful for the game and Saurabh Tiwary might get a chance in his place in that case.
