Following a few days of break after winning their first match, Rajasthan Royals will face Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) in the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Sunday. Rajasthan Royals got off to a stunning start in their IPL 2020 campaign as they posted a mammoth total and then restricted CSK in the chase.

However, Rajasthan Royals will be wary of KXIP, as they have shown that they can post mammoth total. KXIP captain KL Rahul is in blistering form and will look to make it count for his team once again. Let us have a look at how Rajasthan Royals can shape up for the match.

Yashasvi Jaiswal

Yashasvi Jaiswal did not make a good start to his IPL 2020 campaign but that performance is not the right yardstick to determine his prowess. Jaiswal had an impactful run in the U-19 World Cup. He was performing consistently with the bat and also picked up crucial wickets. Jaiswal will look to make it count at the top of the order in the next match.

Steve Smith

Rajasthan Royals captain Steve Smith will open the batting along side Yashasvi Jaiswal to make a perfect left-right combination at the top of the order. Smith looked in fine touch in the inaugural match as he scored 69 runs off 47 deliveries and will look to play in similar fashion in the next game.

Sanju Samson

Sanju Samson is a match-winner. He has been consistent in this format and proved to be the difference in the inaugural match for Rajasthan Royals. Samson will be expected to carry on his fine run in the next match of the IPL 2020 to help his side clinch back to back victories in IPL 2020.

RR batsman David Miller was unlucky to be run out for nought in the previous match. He will however look to add steel to the RR line-up with his six-hitting ability. He will be extremely crucial for RR to set a momentum for his side.

Robin Uthappa is playing his first season for RR. He was played as an opener for KKR on most occasions. In the previous match batting at No.5, Uthappa could only contribute 5 runs. He will however look to comeback stronger and use his experience to the fore in the upcoming match against KXIP.

Rahul Tewatia is an experienced domestic spinner and he made the ball do the talking in the previous match. Tewatia will once again be the darkhorse for Rajasthan Royals as he can pick up crucial wickets for the side with his brilliance.

Riyan Parag

Young Riyan Parag has the ability to clear the ropes with his batting ability. He had shown the same in the previous edition of the IPL. Parag however could not perform to his best in the previous game but will look to comeback stronger and make it count for his side.

Tom Curran

England all-rounder Tom Curran will be an important part of the Rajasthan Royals franchise throughout the tournament. Curran can bat lower-down the order and add crucial runs to the team tally and also return back stronger to pick up early wickets.

England fast bowler Jofra Archer will spearhead the Rajasthan Royals bowling attack. He will be a crucial cog in the side and will be looking to pick up early wickets. Archer will also be important with the bat for RR as he proved in the previous match that he can score some quick fire knocks.

Shreyas Gopal

Shreyas Gopal will look to weave his magic with the ball for Rajasthan Royals. He had a good run for the franchise in the previous season but could not replicate the same in the first match for the side. Gopal will however look to comeback stronger and prove himself on the slow pitches in UAE.

Jaydev Unadkat will be one of the fast bowlers for Rajasthan Royals. But his performance for the side has been questionable. Unadkat returned with an economy of 11 runs per over in the previous match and will look to improve himself and pick up valuable wickets for his side.
