The IPL 2022 final between Gujarat Titans (GT) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) took place on May 29, 2022 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, and GT captain Hardik Pandya was dismissed by Yuzvendra Chahal after a good knock.

RR captain Sanju Samson won the toss for the second consecutive time and decided to bat first in the IPL 2022 final. Rajasthan Royals went in unchanged, but Gujarat Titans made one change bringing in New Zealand speed merchant Lockie Ferguson for West Indies pacer Alzarri Joseph.

Yashasvi Jaiswal batted aggressively and scored 22 runs in 16 balls with 2 sixes and 1 four. Sanju Samson fell in the important match for 14 runs. Jos Buttler made 39 runs and top-scored for Rajasthan in the IPL 2022 final.

Prasidh Krishna gave Rajasthan the best start as he clean bowled Wriddhiman Saha for 5 and then Trent Boult got rid of Matthew Wade for 8. Then Shubman Gill and captain Hardik Pandya got together to add 63 runs for the third wicket.

Pandya was looking good to take his team home in the crunch final, but in the 14th over, Yuzvendra Chahal set Pandya up nicely and got him to edge one to the slips when he bowled a delivery that pitched on the middle stump and turned enough to get his edge.
