Mustafizur Rahman (2016)
Mustafizur Rahman is the only overseas player so far to win the emerging player of the season award. The Bangladesh left-arm seamer had already troubled the best at the international level before joining Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2016. For his 17 wickets that played a crucial role in Hyderabad’s title victory, Mustafizur bagged the accolade.
At present, a trail of injuries has derailed his ability and form to a drastic extent. The 24-year old remains a vital part of the national squad, but he couldn’t find a bidder ahead of IPL 2020, going unsold.
