Royal Challengers Bangalore’s (RCB) seasoned campaigner AB de Villiers is set to make a comeback. After missing out the last two important encounters against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Mumbai Indians (MI) respectively.

However, the in-form batsman de Villiers has recovered from viral fever. He is likely going to play against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in their next tie.

The Proteas cricketer shared the news through his official app. AB said that he is finally feeling human again after being on the bed for four days. He also added that it was a frustrating time for him as well as his family.

The Proteas added they couldn’t move out of the bed.

On their last two games, AB said that the team let themselves down against Knight Riders, where the fielding was sloppy resulting in a loss. Virat Kohli’s men though made a strong comeback, winning the crucial game against Mumbai and therefore kept their playoffs hope alive.

AB confident of a good show:

RCB will now need to win five out of their remaining six games to qualify for the knock-out stage. De Villiers feels his side can definitely achieve it.

The veteran batter said he is very close to being hundred percent fit and expects to get picked for the vital match against Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s men in Pune.

Playing in the IPL is all about taking the pressure and performing on demand.

AB de Villiers seems to understand the notion and how cricket fans get into comparison.

“Funny thing with sports people is you always compare your value as a person in results, which is the wrong thing to do although it does make you feel good about yourself when you score runs and come into the tournament with confidence,” AB was quoted as saying by mid-day earlier.

But, there is a fine line between success and failure and for sports people, it is always important to remember that. I have learned how to deal with success and failure over the years, and not to let it spike it up and down too much. Have more of a straight line,” he concludes.
