The Indian Premier League’s (IPL) eleventh edition is gripping everyone in the country and the Bollywood sensation Ranveer Singh has not managed to evade it either.

The actor shares his views on the distinct games through social media every now and then. So how can anyone expect him not to express his views on the thrilling game between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK)?

The two teams have traditionally dished out some amazing games and Wednesday night (April 25) witnessed yet another classic.

In the end, Super Kings prevailed in a nail-biting game, winning the match by five wickets – to move to the top of the IPL 2018 points table.

Sent in to bat first, the hosts rode on the fifties each from AB de Villiers and Quinton de Kock – to post a mammoth 205 for eight. De Villiers blasted 68 off 30 balls while de Kock scored 53 off 37.

Hosts in the form of Royal Challengers were looking set to post well in excess of 200, but Chennai pulled things back when leg-spinner Imran Tahir and sensational all-rounder Dwayne Bravo picked two wickets apiece.

But, the score was still looking good to defend. Royal Challengers were firmly on top after dismissing Shane Watson, Suresh Raina, Sam Billings and Ravindra Jadeja when scorecard read 74 for four.

However, Ambati Rayudu and skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni revived the chase with a 101-run stand before Rayudu was found short of his crease on 82.

Rayudu’s dismissal turned the game on its head but Dhoni remained till the end to take his team home owing to his calm and collected approach.

The equation was finally down to 16 off last over to be bowled by Corey Anderson. Bravo started the proceedings by hitting a boundary and a six in the first two deliveries before taking a single to bring Dhoni back on strike. And Dhoni did the rest in style.

The 36-year-old wasted no time and shuffled across the crease – to smash Anderson for a huge six over long-on – to finish the match in his trademark style yet again.

Dhoni smashed an unbeaten 70 off just 34 balls.

It was one of the best game of the seasons and Ranveer’s tweet summed it up pretty well.

Ranveer Singh lauds Dhoni and added that the Mumbai Indians fans are missing Rayudu in the camp.

“Have to say @RCBTweets played really well today , but CSK was just too good in the end ! A Scintillating watch!  Rayadu was amazing – we miss you at @mipaltan !  And @msdhoni .. what can one say about Dhoni…words fail me…what a champion! Bondafide Legend! #RCBvCSK”
