SunRisers Hyderabad [SRH] broke their five-match losing streak to claim their maiden points in the 2020 Dream11 IPL thanks to a brilliant bowling performance by their bowling group as they successfully defended their total of 4-162.

After maniac endings in the past couple of games, fans were expecting yet another twist but brilliant death bowling by Bhuvneshwar Kumar and T Natarajan ensured SRH romped past a pretty comfortable win in the end. The SunRisers were right on the money during the defense of their target. Bhuvneshwar Kumar gave away just 7 runs in his first two overs besides claiming a crucial scalp of Prithvi Shaw.

Shikhar Dhawan [34 off 31 balls] and Shreyas Iyer [17 off 21 balls] struggled for timing throughout their innings and it was Rashid Khan [3-14 in 4 overs] who provided his side with two important scalps in what was a brilliant display of spin-bowling by the champion leg-spinner.

Rishabh Pant got a lucky reprieve when he was dropped by Abhishekh Sharma off his own bowling. The southpaw cashed on it, stroking Sharma for back-to-back sixes in the same over. Shimron Hetmyer stroked some lusty blows off Khaleel Ahmed before Bhuvneshwar Kumar returned to dismiss the southpaw. Rishabh Pant was undone by Rashid Khan in his final over while T Natarajan nailed consistent yorkers to tie Marcus Stoinis down before eventually trapping him LBW to take the sting out of the run-chase.

Earlier, David Warner [45 off 33 balls] and Jonny Bairstow [53 off 48 balls] gave SRH a good start with a brilliant 77-run-stand but the innings of the game was played by the returning Kane Williamson. On a track where everyone was struggling for their timing, Williamson stroked it at 157.69 during his 26-ball 41, which in hindsight eventually proved to be the difference in the end between the two sides.

Thanks to a 15-run-win, SRH have gained their first two points in IPL 2020 and they have now moved to the 6th spot in the points table. DC, on the other hand, have come down to the second-spot following their first defeat of the tournament.
