IPL 2018: 31st Match, RCB vs MI - Royal Challengers Bangalore Predicted XI

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will host reigning champions Mumbai Indians (MI), in the 31st match of the Indian Premier League 2018.

The Virat Kohli-led side has had its issues with their bowling line-up. If their bowling problems were not enough, their insipid fielding has rubbed salt into the wound.

On the other hand, the defending champions Indians is riding in the same boat as the Royal Challengers. Both of these teams have won only two matches out of the seven they have played – to find themselves in the bottom half of the IPL 2018 points table.

When these two teams had met each other last time in the season, Indians was able to get the better of RCB by 46 runs.

Hence, Rohit Sharma-led team will like to repeat their previous performance, whereas, the Men in Red will look for a sweet-bitter revenge.

Quinton de Kock once again got off to a good start in the previous match.

However, the southpaw opener is not able to make a substantial score thus far.

Brendon McCullum:

Brendon McCullum came back into the playing XI in the last match. The former New Zealand skipper was able to give a good platform by scoring 38 off just 28 balls.

Virat Kohli:

Virat Kohli brought out his magnum opus once again against KKR. The RCB skipper scored a fine 68 off just 44 balls. However, Kohli’s knock went in vain.

AB de Villiers missed the last match due to a viral fever.

The Talismanic batsman must make his way back into the final XI to give RCB batting a much-needed fillip.

Mandeep Singh:

Mandeep Singh has been impressive while batting lower down the order for the Bangalore side.

The right-handed batter has played some crucial cameos for his team.

Manan Vohra:

Manan Vohra was dismissed without troubling the scorers in the last match.

The promising batsman will look to get one more opportunity to prove his mettle.

Murugan Ashwin:

Murugan Ashwin had a forgettable debut for the RCB as he fluffed a simple catch when Chris Lynn was on just seven runs.

However, Ashwin was able to bag two wickets.

Tim Southee:

Tim Southee was finally given a chance by the Bangalore team.

The New Zealand fast bowler went wicketless in the last game but he is expected to retain his place in final XI provided RCB bowling howlers.

Umesh Yadav:

Speedster Umesh Yadav has been impressive for Kohli’s team in this season in nutshell. Though, the fast bowler was taken to cleaners in the previous match.

Navdeep Saini:

Navdeep Saini should find his place in the final XI as Mohammed Siraj has been expensive.

Saini who represented Delhi in the Ranji Trophy had a good domestic season.

Yuzvendra Chahal:

Yuzvendra Chahal went without a wicket in the last match.

Although, the leg-spinner was economical in his quota of four overs for Royal Challengers Bangalore.
